Singapore, August 23, 2021 — Cyberlite Books today announced a collaboration with Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW), the global leader, to bring cyber awareness and digital wellness education to primary and secondary schools in Singapore. An initiative supported by the Media Literacy Council and in support of the Digital for Life movement, the partnership will provide over 10,000 cybersafety workbooks and make the Palo Alto Networks Cyber A.C.E.S.. – Activities in Cybersecurity Education for Students – program available as training materials for teachers and parents.

Titled Ready, Get Set, Connect!, the cybersafety workbook is designed to break down complex cybersafety topics like phishing, fake news, and cyberbullying into exciting activities and bite-sized text to keep kids focused and engaged. Cyberlite’s co-founders Nina Bual and Michelle Yao will be conducting interactive workshops based on the workbook for students, parents, and teachers at schools to further promote the importance of digital literacy and wellness.
The Palo Alto Networks Cyber A.C.E.S. program is designed to educate students from ages 5 to 15 with the skills they need to protect their digital future and become good digital citizens. Cyber A.C.E.S. is part of a comprehensive effort to drive social impact through cybersecurity education, employee engagement, community partnerships, alignment with the academic curriculum, and diversifying the future talent pipeline.
The Digital for Life movement calls on members of the public, private and people sectors to contribute to helping all Singaporeans embrace digital as a lifelong pursuit, and to enrich their lives through digital. Cyber-safety is a key ingredient for our youth’s digital wellness today, and Cyberlite Books and Palo Alto Networks are pleased to contribute to Digital for Life through this initiative.
Public events for the family
The increase of children’s screen times since the start of the pandemic has contributed to the rise in cyberbullying cases and phishing attacks online. Parents are worried, yet little is done to increase awareness and education about being smart online. From August to October, Palo Alto Networks and Cyberlite Books will be hosting public cybersafety webinars and workshops for the whole family in support of the Digital for Life movement. Parents and kids can learn about the dangers that lurk online, how to navigate popular gaming and social media apps, and participate in activities that encourage critical thinking. Information on these events will be published at www.cyberlitebooks.com/whats-on.
“We want to create an environment where students, parents, and teachers can engage in a discussion about cybersafety and online behaviors over the dinner table or in the classroom, so it becomes an ongoing conversation as the student gets older. We hope to galvanise Singaporean families to become more digitally prepared with our efforts to actively spread cyber awareness during this national campaign.” - Michelle Yao, Co-Founder, Cyberlite Books
“We are extremely excited to be working with Palo Alto Networks, and have the opportunity to make such a meaningful impact. We want to ensure the next generation of children have the skills and initiative to stay cyber safe and aware.” – Nina Bual, Co-Founder, Cyberlite Books
“With digital tools and online learning likely to be a mainstay in the curriculum, fostering good cyber safety habits from a young age has become ever more pertinent. We’re excited to be introducing our education program in Singapore to help demystify cybersecurity through interactive learning. This collaboration with Cyberlite Books is part of our ongoing commitment to protect our digital way of life and drive social impact through cybersecurity education.” – Claribel Chai, Country Manager of Singapore for Palo Alto Networks.
