Cybersecurity Awareness Month:
Parents are Key at KeyBank

KeyBank is a regional bank headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, USA and is a subsidiary of KeyCorp. It is the 24th largest bank in the United States, and serves retail, corporate, and investment clients.

This year, the cybersecurity team at KeyBank wanted to raise awareness as well as give back to their employees during Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM) . Understanding that the risks of cybersecurity are not just limited to the workplace, they sought for a fun and interesting activity that’s also lightweight and easy to deliver to the bank employees.

Reaching Out to Employees and Their Families

Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM) is celebrated every October as a time to promote positive cyber hygiene and increase awareness on cybersecurity issues. Many individuals and corporations participate in this month, each with their own initiatives and passion to drive up awareness.

To celebrate CSAM this year, KeyBank invited us to present a virtual webinar for all Key parents. The webinar highlighted issues of the cyber risks kids are facing online, and what parents should be aware of. We also shared parenting tips and controls, and gave our insights on monitoring screen time during the pandemic and working towards online independence.

“I just wanted to thank you for a fantastic session yesterday. You are both doing such meaningful work to keep children safe on the internet and we’re so happy we were able to bring you in to speak to Key employees. It has been a pleasure working with you and hopefully we’ll be partnering again in the future.”
